Go South West delivered a £100 million GDP contribution to the UK economy in 2025, supporting 1,650 jobs, according to a new report by Oxford Economics.
Go South West are part of the Go-Ahead Group, one of the UK’s largest public transport operators, and the Group contributed £6.4 billion to the UK economy in 2025 and supported 86,900 jobs across the UK, operating bus and rail services that play a vital role in keeping communities connected across the country.
Go South West operates across Devon and Cornwall, the report highlights the significant economic impact and social value generated by Go South West across these areas.
The services that the operator provides are relied upon by millions of customers every day. They run a combined fleet of over 400 buses from multiple depots and employs a workforce of over 1200 people.
Go South West is a leader in the UK’s zero-emission bus transition. The company operates a growing fleet of 59 electric buses, that forms part of a long-term strategy to reduce emissions and improve air quality across Devon and Cornwall.
