Discover the life, work and legacy of one of Britain’s most influential abstract painters. 

Bringing together 26 works spanning seven decades, this major exhibition celebrates Gillian Ayres’ fearless experimentation with colour and form. From an early figurative work of Harlyn Bay that she created as a teenager to monumental paintings from later her long career, the exhibition also explores her enduring connection to the landscapes of South West England where she lived for many years.
