25th October

Join us at Theatre Royal Plymouth this Sunday for a special Black History Month event celebrating Plymouth's diverse heritage and the stories that have helped shape our city.

The event will feature the Black History Bus, the Bill Miller Exhibition, the Untold Stories Exhibition, and a Panel Q&A exploring Black history, heritage and community.

Programme of talks:
Cllr Chris Penberthy - Why Black History Month Matters.

Rachel Hawadi - Bill Miller's Story: How the Descendant of a Slave and Son of an Immigrant from Sierra Leone Led the Rebuilding of Plymouth After World War II.

The morning will round up with a panel Q&A featuring local voices, community leaders and contributors, followed by an opportunity to view the exhibitions and visit the Black History Bus.

Discover remarkable local stories, learn about Plymouth's rich Black history, and take part in meaningful discussion with members of the community.
