From tomorrow, Thursday April 15th, the south Cantilever will be closed to pedestrians, cyclists and mobility scooter users until the completion of the works in September 2021.
This is part of the resurfacing works that are currently taking place.
Phase 1 of the project will begin on Friday 16th April. This will require both the north and south cantilever lanes of the bridge to be closed to all users. The three lanes on the main deck will remain open to traffic. Local traffic from Saltash will be directed from the north cantilever onto the main deck of the bridge.
Plymouth Citybus will be providing two free shuttle bus services during the works to trasport pedestrians, cyclists and mobility scotters across the bridge. The buses will run every 15 minutes between 6am and 9pm and every 30 minutes in the evenings and overnight.
These works and closures will affect our services and cause delays. We appologise for any inconvenience causes.
