There are several diversions and road closures across our network in the coming weeks, due to road improvement works and events. Here is a summary of the major diversions and what you can expect: 

Service 16 and services to/from Saltash and Victoria Road: Sunday 24th March 

The Tamar Bridge 10K takes place on Sunday 24th March. The Tamar Bridge will remain open to vehicles. There will however, be closures on Pemros Road, Victoria Road and Trevithick Road from early morning until around 10.30. 

Services to Saltash will operate to St Budeaux, back towards Camels Head and then use the St Budeaux Bypass and A38 to Saltash. Services from Saltash to Plymouth will operate via the A38, St Budeaux Bypass and St Budeaux, before carrying on their normal routes. 

Services to/from Victoria Road will serve St Budeaux, back towards Camels Head and then use the St Budeaux Bypass and A38 to Crownhill Road. On the return, these services will operate via the A38, St Budeaux Bypass and St Budeaux, before carrying on their normal routes. 

Service 16 will operate its normal route to Weston Mill Hill, then will use Kings Tamerton Road, Roman Way, turn around at the roundabout back onto Roman Way to Kings Tamerton Road, then return to its normal route to the City Centre. 

Service 5A: Monday 25th March - Friday 12th April

Oreston Road will be closed at the junction with Breakwater Road from Monday 25th March until Friday 12th April 2019. Throughout the road closure, we will be unable to serve Oreston Road and will be on diversion as follows: from Pomphlett Roundabout via Pomphlett Road, Pomphlett Gardens, Pomphlett Close, Foresters Road and Randwick Park Road to Plymstock Road.

Service 12: Monday 25th - Friday 29th March 

The A388 will be closed overnight between Carkeel roundabout and Callington from the night of Monday 25th March until the morning of Friday 29th March. The closure will happen again from the night of Monday 1st April until the morning of Friday 5th April. This is taking place for resurfacing between 1900 and 0600 each night, for a total of 8 nights. 

As the only suitable diversion is via the A38, Liskeard and the A390, service 12 will be affected as follows: 

The 1917 from Launceston will divert from Callington at 1950 via the A390, Liskeard Charter Way and A38 to Carkeel Roundabout, then it will follow its normal route to Royal Parade, arriving up to 30 minutes later than scheduled. 

The 1905, 2035 and 2305 services from Plymouth Royal Parade will operate the normal route to Carkeel Roundabout then via the A38, Liskeard Charter Way and the A390 and will terminate in Callington at 2015, 2145 and 0015. 

Services will then depart Callington at 2020 and 2150 and will operate via the A390, Liskeard Charter Way and the A38 to Carkeel Roundabout, where they will then follow the normal route to Royal Parade. 

As a result, the last bus to serve Launceston will be the 1805 from Royal Parade.

Services 34 and 70/70A/70B: Monday 25th March

On Monday 25th March from 0930 - 1530 Ferry Road will be closed for urgent carriageway repairs. Services 34 and 70/70A/70B will use St Aubyn Road and New Passage Hill to Ferry Road. Passengers will be able to board and alight the bus from New Passage Hill. 

Service 21/21A: Tuesday 26th March 

On Tuesday 26th March from 0930 - 1530 Sandy Road will be closed for urgent carraigeway repairs. Service 21 and 21A will use Hillcrest Drive as a diversion route during the road closure.
