This Easter we've cut the price of travel for those aged 18 and under, charging a flat rate of just £1 each trip.
The offer will be valid across the whole Plymouth Citybus network, making it more affordable than ever to get out and explore our great city and the surrounding areas.
The offer will run throughout the Easter holiday period, from Friday 30th March until Sunday 15th April inclusive, enabling independence of travel for youngsters.
Any single ticket purchased by a passenger aged 18 and under will be £1 and any return £2, available bus from the driver.
To aid with the journey, passengers can now pay using contactless bank card or mobile phone, saving the need to carry cash. The new Plymouth Citybus app, which has been downloaded by more than 7,000 people in the first 6 weeks after launching, will also enable passengers to track buses in live time and plan journeys.
Mark Collins, Head of Commercial & Marketing at Plymouth Citybus, said: “We’re committed to breaking down the barriers to bus travel, making it accessible for everyone.
“Where teenagers may not want to travel with a parent and may not have access to other means of transport, this is the perfect solution to ensure it’s easy and affordable to get around during the school break. This offer joins our portfolio of great value tickets including Nightrider, Weekend Wonder. We continue to offer ‘Add a Kid for a Quid’ for kids under 16 who are travelling with an adult.”
